The scope of our stage inspections includes, but is not limited to:
Slab pre-pour inspection:
Inspection of your home's base, piers, vapour barrier, termite barrier/collar, steel, and formwork before pouring concrete. This ensures the site is properly prepared and ready for concrete, usually scheduled for the day following the inspection.
Framing stage inspection:
Evaluation of the wall and roof frames to ensure they are structurally sound and constructed according to the National Construction Code, Australian Standard 1684, engineering plans, bracing and panel plans, and framing plans.
Lock-up/pre-plaster stage inspection:
Conducted when a home’s external wall cladding and roof covering are fixed, flooring is laid, and external doors and windows are installed (even if temporarily). This stage also includes checking the completion of internal electrical and plumbing rough-ins.
Fixing stage inspection:
Performed upon completion of plaster linings and the application of the waterproofing membrane in all wet areas. Before tiles are laid, our inspector ensures that the plasterboard and waterproofing installation comply with relevant standards.
PCI/Pre-handover inspection:
Also known as Practical Completion Inspections (PCI) or Pre-handover Inspections. These final stage inspections verify that everything is completed to standard before you take possession of your new home.
